This initiative is close to our hearts because it shines a spotlight on the next generation of talent — individuals under 40 who are not only rising through the ranks but reshaping the future of mining in Canada and beyond.
As we all know, this is a pivotal moment for our industry. We face global demand for critical minerals, pressure to decarbonize, a tightening talent pipeline, and the need to build trust with communities and stakeholders. The good news is — the future is already in motion. And it’s being driven by the innovation, energy, and purpose of young leaders.
These individuals are finding smarter, cleaner, and more responsible ways to explore, build, operate, and grow. They’re championing digital transformation, leading technical excellence, and building cultures of safety, equity, and sustainability.

- For her leadership and for driving sustainability and innovation to over 20 mines globally, Hannah Lang (Manager, Digital Solutions at MineSense Technologies Ltd.)
- For her exceptional leadership and commitment to the community and to the Quebec mining industry, Annabelle Rioux, CRHA (Director of Human Resources at Eldorado Gold).
- For his role in the discovery and advancement of the Phoenix deposit, expected to be Canada’s first ISR/in-situ uranium mine and a landmark project for the industry, Chad Sorba (VP Technical Services & Project Evaluation at Denison Mines Corp.)
- For his inspirational leadership, integrity and dedication to social impact, which continue to make a lasting impression in the mining industry, Benjamin Scott (Project Manager at B2Gold Corp.)
