Mauricio leads the Bedford’s Mining Practice in Latin America. Fully bilingual in English and Spanish, Mauricio has 13+ years of experience in full-cycle recruitment across a variety of industries including engineering, oil and gas, manufacturing, technology, finance, logistics & supply chain, and automotive amongst others. Mauricio has spent the last 10+ years of his career focused on supporting his partners in the global Mining & Resources industries. His experience in Mining spans all metals and minerals for all phases of the mining life cycle (from early exploration through to mining operations) where Mauricio has supported his clients with all operational roles (technical and non-technical) as well as at the corporate and C-suite executive level. His clients’ mining projects and operations have spanned Canada, the United States, Mexico, South America, Europe and Australia providing Mauricio with in-depth understanding of the unique requirements of the mining and resources sectors, and instilling a passion for utilizing the value of talent in organizational growth and operational success.

Prior to joining Bedford, Mauricio specialized in recruitment for technical and contract roles in large mining organizations. In this capacity, Mauricio managed client accounts of up to 60 contractors at various mining operations, leading all recruitment activities and talent management activities from beginning to end, and serving as the main contact for all contractor and client interactions. Mauricio’s global mining experience has equipped him with an in depth understanding of the unique requirements of the mining and resources sectors, instilling a passion for utilizing the value of talent in organizational growth and operational success.
