4853 Vice President, Supplier Relations

Our client is a leading distribution organization.


The Vice President, Supplier Relations is responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership to develop the Canadian supplier relations and channel management strategy in line with the global corporate strategy.


More specifically, the Vice President, Supplier Relations will develop and implement a national, holistic supplier relations and channel management strategy that accelerates growth of the business and enables both top and bottom line performance.  This will entail partnering with suppliers to deliver sales growth, margin expansion, and SG&A efficiency throughout the organization


The ideal candidate will bring 15+ years of leadership experience within a distribution based organization, where they have been a member of a senior leadership team and successfully managed a complex, national supplier relations function of commensurate size and scale.


Critical to success in this role will be the incumbent’s broad business acumen and strategic thinking capability combined with strong leadership and demonstrated influencing skills to lead complex projects without direct authority. He/she will possess an action orientation and sense of urgency as well as the requisite leadership skills required to motivate teams to drive sound execution.
